Fried Green Tomatoes

Ingredients

Vegetable oil for frying

2 eggs

1/4 cup water

1 cup ZATARAIN'S® Crispy Southern Fish Fri

4 green tomatoes, cut into 1/3-inch thick slices

Salt (optional)

ZATARAIN'S® Remoulade Sauce (optional)

Preparation

1. Pour oil into deep heavy skillet, filling no more than 1/3 full. Heat on medium-high heat to 350°F.

2. Beat eggs and water in shallow bowl. Place Fish-Fri in shallow dish. Dip tomato slices in egg mixture. Coat in Fish-Fri, pressing lightly; shake off excess.

3. Fry tomato slices in batches, 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Season with salt, if desired. Serve with Remoulade Sauce, if desired.
