Seafood Dirty Rice
Frozen peeled and deveined shrimp are available in your supermarket's frozen foods section. Keep them on hand and you can easily turn Zatarain's® Dirty Rice Mix into a tasty one-skillet meal.
Makes 6 (1-cup) servings.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon butter
|

1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
|
|
1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
|
|
2 1/2 cups water
|
|
1 package ZATARAIN'S® Dirty Rice Mix, Original
|
|
1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
|
|
1/4 cup sliced green onions
|
Directions
1. Melt butter in large skillet on medium heat. Add bell peppers; cook and stir 3 minutes or until tender. Add water; bring to boil.
2. Stir in Rice Mix; return to boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 20 minutes.
3. Stir in shrimp and green onions; mix well. Cook, uncovered, 5 minutes or until shrimp turn pink and rice is tender, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
