New Orleans Crab Cakes
Zatarain's® Crab Cake Mix contains the perfect blend of spices and seasonings to give crab cakes New Orleans flair. Add some Creole Mustard for a little more kick.

Ingredients

1 package ZATARAIN'S® Crab Cake Mix
|
|
1/2 cup water
|
|
1/4 cup mayonnaise
|
|
2 teaspoons ZATARAIN'S® Creole Mustard (optional)
|
|
1 pound lump or backfin crabmeat
|
|
1/4 to 1/2 cup vegetable oil
|
|
ZATARAIN'S® Remoulade Sauce (optional)
|
Directions
1. Mix Crab Cake Mix, water, mayonnaise and Creole Mustard in large bowl until well blended. Add crabmeat; toss gently to mix. Refrigerate 30 minutes. Shape into 2-inch crab cakes.
2. Heat 1/4 cup of the oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Carefully add crab cakes, a few at a time.
3. Fry 4 minutes or until golden brown, turning once. Drain on paper towels. Repeat with remaining crab cakes, adding remaining oil as necessary. Serve with Remoulade Sauce, if desired.
