Zatarain's to Sponsor Shrimp Festival 2012
Zatarain’s will be the presenting sponsor of the National Shrimp Festival, in Gulf Shores, which is entering its 41st year. Zatarain’s will donate products and provide financial support for the event. Festival leaders and Zatarain’s leaders are excited about the partnership which is completely natural, according to Festival Chairman Ron Kutter. “We have New Orleans-style food and with all the Gulf Coast seafood here, it was a perfect fit.” This year, festival officials are considering additional events, said Don McPherson, Chamber Special Events Director. He said one possible event could be a cooking competition among area professional chefs. With Zatarain’s help, this year’s Festival looks to be the biggest celebration yet! So, if you find yourself in the Gulf Shores area from October 11-14th, be sure to stop by and grab a bite.
Zatarain's Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts
We have donated more than 100,000 ready-to-serve meals to the area, provided financial support to our employees and are working with others to initiate an employee contribution fund to support our fellow employees.
The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival
Zatarain's is an official sponsor of The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival’s Cajun Cabin and Food Heritage Stage, where distinguished local chefs demonstrate for festival goers the art of creating Cajun and Creole delicacies. The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival (aka Jazz Fest) is an 11-day cultural feast in which thousands of musicians, cooks and craftspeople welcome 500,000 visitors each year. The festival showcases unforgettable music on 12 stages, delicious Louisiana cuisine in two large food areas, and crafts artisans from the region and around the world demonstrating and selling their work.
